PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS
125K Aladağlar Epic Trail & 45K Aladağlar Ultra Marathon
The following criteria apply to participants. Quota: 150 athletes.

• Athletes who have completed a race of 60 km or more between January 1, 2024 and July 1, 2025 within 10 hours will be placed on the main list.
• Athletes who do not meet this criterion will be placed on the waiting list.
• Those on the waiting list can move to the main list upon approval by the 7-person race committee after submitting the required documents.
• Athletes with an ITRA score of 650+ for men and 550+ for women will be directly placed on the main list.
125K Aladağlar Epic Trail Relay Team
Quota: 150 athletes. Each team must consist of 2 runners.

Runner 1: Friday, July 5 / 45 km

Runner 2: Saturday, July 6 / 55 km

Day 3 (25 km): Both runners must run together.
• There are no gender or age categories in the team race; only general classification is evaluated.
• Participation requirements are the same as for the individual race.
• Athletes with valid ITRA scores will be directly placed on the main list based on the criteria above.
GENERAL RULES
• It is mandatory to carry a GPS device, GPS-enabled watch, or a smartphone with a GPS app, and to upload the course (except for the 13K and 25K routes).
• Runners must follow the marked route. Markers are placed between 10 and 100 meters apart depending on terrain.
• Athletes must bring their own tents and camping equipment. Post-race nutrition is also the athlete’s responsibility.
• Finishers of the 125K solo race will receive a special finisher award.
• A medical report is required for all courses except the 13K Discovery Run.
• Participants aged 60 and over must present an EKG and a cardiologist-approved medical report. The committee may still deny participation even with these documents.
• Only registered runners may participate.
• For cancellations within 7 days of registration, a 30% fee will be deducted (applies before May 31).
• No refunds will be made for cancellations after May 31.
• No course changes will be accepted after June 15.
• Race kits must be collected in person. No shipping will be provided.
• Awards may be collected by another person with a signed authorization if the athlete cannot attend the ceremony. No shipping of awards after the event.
• Licensed athletes are not required to submit a medical report.
• It is the runner’s responsibility to follow course markers.
• Getting off course is part of trail running.
• The organization reserves the right to make course changes before the race and will inform participants of any updates.
• Participants under 18 years old are not allowed to take part in the Aladağlar Epic Trail.
• Each participant must sign their own waiver form and collect their race kit in person.
TRANSFER & EXPERIENCE SERVICE
• Runners who want to participate in the event atmosphere but only run a specific stage can email info@aladaglarepictrail.org to inquire about service fees.
(Example: A participant registered for the 25K stage on July 6 who wants to join the event from Thursday, July 4 should contact the organizers for details.)

(The 13K course has no age categories; only overall ranking is evaluated.)
• Runners who place in the overall classification do not receive age group awards.
• No cash prizes are awarded. Sponsor prizes may be offered. Trophies/plaques will be presented to top finishers.
DISQUALIFICATION REASONS
• Littering or throwing water bottles on the course (disqualification requires complaints from at least two people).
• Skipping checkpoints
• Using shortcuts or any form of transportation
• Failing to help a runner in need
• Refusing a medical check when requested by staff
• Refusing mandatory gear checks
• Receiving external support outside designated aid stations
